Carlos Amorales es egresado de la Gerrit Rietveld Academie y de la Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten de Ámsterdam, Holanda. Ha expuesto individualmente en importantes instituciones nacionales como el Museo Amparo, el Museo Tamayo y el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey (MARCO), e internacionales como el Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA), el Contemporary Art Center de Cincinnati, el Hirshhorn Museum en Washington DC, el Cabaret Voltaire en Zúrich, entre otros. Sus obras forman parte de importantes colecciones como la del MoMA de Nueva York, la Colección Jumex, Tate Modern y Daros Latinoamérica. Vive y trabaja en la Ciudad de México.
Carlos Amorales graduated from Gerrit Rietveld Academie and Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. He has presented solo exhibitions in important national institutions such as Museo Amparo, Mueo Tamayo and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey (MARCO), and international like Museo de Arte Latinoamericano in Buenos Aires (MALBA), Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati, Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C., Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, among others. His work is part of important collections, for instance, MoMA in New York, Colección Jumex, Tate Modern and Daros Latinoamérica. He lives and works in Mexico City.
